Hey guys! Thank you for coming out! There were seriously so many of you, it was incredible.
Here's a quick outline of what we covered in the meeting:
Lightwell Gallery Show:
(aka: Parallax Presents the Best Little Art Show in Texas)
-Work in a marked closet in the Photo Lab in Oak Street Hall
-Due by Sunday, September 4th by ONEpm
-Maximum of FOUR images
-Turn it in with your NAME, TITLE, MEDIA, and PHONE NUMBER
-Also turn it in with PLEXIGLASS
-Closing reception is Thursday, September 8th at SEVENpm. Bring a nommy dish for some potluck fun!
-IF YOU WANT TO HELP HANG: this will be going on a TWOpm on Sunday, September 4th
Membership Dues:
-$10, please
-This is to help pay for shows, get-togethers, and supplies that go towards the betterment of the club. We love being able to buy you things. With your money.
Guest Artist Lecture:
-September 14th, Melanie McWhorter is coming to visit
-Artist Talk at SIXpm in room 313 in the Art Building
-Workshop on September 15th and 16th. Don't sign up if you're not serious, there are only fifteen spots and some photo majors get pretty vicious.
-Contact Dornith Doherty if you're interested
Midlothian Fall Festival:
-October 15th, we're having a fundraiser. If you want to donate images to sell as prints, keep that in mind. (Midlothian is a conservative town, so please no tah-tahs or peens)
2012 Joyce Elaine Grant Juried Exhibition:
-Due Date: November 6th, 2011
-Jegphoto.slideroom.com
-Lots of sweet prizes
